Getting Started with MPL

Everything you need to know before your New Patient Appointment.

New Patient Information

Welcome to My Precision Life, a private wellness medical practice dedicated to personalized care and health optimization. Before your first visit, we want to make sure you have all the necessary information to ensure a smooth and efficient experience. Below is an outline of what to expect, including our office policies and the steps involved in your Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) journey.

Before your First Consultation

Lab Blood Testing

Before your initial consultation, lab blood testing is required. This will be done while fasting and can conveniently be completed at our office. If you’ve had lab work done within the last 4 months through your primary care physician, you may submit those results to avoid duplicate testing. This blood panel helps us assess your baseline hormone levels and is crucial for developing an effective treatment plan.

Your First Bioidentical Hormone (BHRT) Consultation

During your Initial BHRT Consultation, which typically lasts around 90 minutes, you will meet with one of our medical providers for an in-depth discussion. We’ll review your symptoms, medical history (both personal and family), any past surgeries, and your lab results. Together, we'll use this information to develop a customized BHRT treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

Treatment with BHRT may be indicated for a variety of symptoms, including but not limited to:

  • Night sweats, Hot flashes, Fatigue, Weight gain, Low libido, Poor memory, Loss of muscle mass, Poor sleep, Dry skin, Hair loss, Brittle nails, Decreased muscle strength, Joint pain

If you’ve been experiencing any of these issues, BHRT may help restore balance and improve your quality of life. For more information and symptoms that BHRT may address, click here for men, and click here for women.

Second BHRT Consultation

The Second Consultation takes place 4–6 weeks after starting the BHRT protocol. During this 60-minute appointment, we’ll review your symptoms, any changes you’ve experienced, and your response to the treatment plan. If necessary, additional lab work may be conducted to monitor your progress and adjust your treatment as needed.

Third and Fourth BHRT Consultations

As part of our commitment to ongoing care, we require follow-up consultations every 3–6 months. These visits allow us to assess your progress, discuss any new symptoms, and adjust your BHRT plan accordingly. The frequency of these visits will vary depending on your individual response to the treatment. Regular follow-ups ensure that we maintain the best possible outcomes for your health and wellness.
